Writer is a local first markdown editor designed for speed, privacy and simplicity. All documents remain on the user's computer, with support for Mermaid diagrams, tables, embedded HTML and YAML frontmatter metadata. The application launches in a fraction of a second, supports multiple workspace windows and focuses on providing a distraction free environment for managing large collections of markdown files without relying on cloud services or proprietary storage.
