Overview

witr helps developers, system administrators and DevOps engineers understand the cause behind running system resources. Instead of only displaying process state and metadata, it traces the full chain of responsibility across shells, supervisors, services, containers and other system layers to explain how a process was started, what launched it and what keeps it running. Available as both a command line tool and interactive TUI dashboard, witr turns complex system relationships into a single human readable explanation.
