Overview

Rust is an open source systems programming language designed for performance, memory safety and reliable concurrency. Its ownership and type systems prevent many common memory and concurrency bugs at compile time while providing low level control comparable to C and C++. Rust includes Cargo for package management and builds and a strong ecosystem for systems software, web services, embedded development, command line tools and performance critical applications.
