DNS Leak Test

Overview

DNS Leak Test helps users understand and detect DNS leaks that can expose their browsing activity outside a VPN or other anonymity network. DNS requests translate domain names into IP addresses and may reveal the websites a user is accessing to an ISP or other network observer. The service checks which DNS servers are handling requests and helps determine whether traffic is escaping the expected privacy connection. It also highlights an important limitation of encrypted DNS such as DNS over HTTPS: although queries are encrypted from the local device to the DNS provider, the chosen provider can still observe requests and may not offer the desired privacy protections.
